Trigger Finger Release
Restore your ability to flex or straighten your finger normally. Seek treatment for trigger finger from a fellowship-trained hand surgeon at EvergreenHealth.
How Surgery Works
Your surgeon will make a small incision in the palm of your hand, and then spread the skin and soft tissue to expose the tendon pulley. The surgeon will carefully divide the pulley, releasing tightness around the tendon. This procedure helps your finger work better and extend more easily and comfortably.
What to Expect After Surgery
Trigger finger release surgery is a short procedure. Afterward, your care team will bandage your hand and give you pain medication. You’ll be able to go home the same day as treatment.
After your surgery, your doctor will discuss with you how to prevent stiffness after surgery. Hand therapy may help you restore a wider range of motion.
