Speech Therapy

Speech therapy helps you with speech, language, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments such as:

These impairments can be caused by chronic conditions such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, stroke or brain injury. They can also be caused by debilitating diseases or compromised health caused by other factors.

Treatment

EvergreenHealth offers a range of services, from evaluation and diagnosis to treatment. Speech therapists use the Visi-Pitch computer system, which provides an on-screen display of various voice parameters to target treatment.

Cognitive rehabilitation works to improve attention, memory, executive function and decision-making.

Treatment is available in the hospital and at our outpatient facility, and is tailored to your personal goals. Treatment builds on your personal strengths while addressing areas of need in a functional way.

The goal of treatment is for you to reach your highest level of functioning and maintain appropriate safety and independence.
