Evaluation
Electrodiagnostic studies may be used to evaluate you for injury or disease of muscle, nerve roots and peripheral nerves. This includes:
These studies are normally done together and are usually performed as a workup for complaints of pain, weakness, numbness or tingling.
Common problems tested include:
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Cervical and lumbar radiculopathy
- Ulnar neuropathy (cubital tunnel)
- Peripheral neuropathy (diabetes, alcohol)
- Trauma (facial nerve injury, brachioplexopathy, radial nerve injury from humeral fracture, peroneal neuropathy)
- Guillain-Barre Syndrome
Neurological Rehabilitation
We provide rehabilitation from neurological issues such as:
- Stroke
- Brain injury - traumatic, anoxic
- Spinal cord injury
- Congenital disabilities (cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, etc.)
- Amputation
- Peripheral neuropathies and nerve injuries
- Post-polio syndrome
- Spasticity management

Our physicians are board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; they specialize in restoring function and optimizing quality of life for people with physical and cognitive impairments and disabilities.
Your physician will develop an individualized rehabilitation plan to help you achieve your goals through a collaborative approach that includes therapies, medications, injections, orthotics/prosthetics and other equipment, and coordinating referrals to other medical providers as needed.
The Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic is a part of EvergreenHealth Rehabilitation Services, located in the state-of-the-art DeYoung Pavilion adjacent to EvergreenHealth. By bringing our key rehabilitation services together under one roof, we are able to coordinate complex rehab treatment plans with our team.
